The nominations for the 89th Academy Awards were revealed this morning

The nominees for the 89th Academy Awards were announced on Tuesday morning (Jan. 24) and, as expected, the movie musical La La Land lead all contenders with a record-tying 14 nominations, including Best Picture, Best Actor, Best Actress and Best Director. The 14 noms tie a record previously held by 1997’s Titanic and 1950’s All About Eve.

Coming in just behind with eight nominations each were Arrival and Moonlight, with Hacksaw Ridge, Lion and Manchester by the Sea earning six apiece and Fences and Hell or High Water with four nods. Among the nominees for Best Original Song are two tunes from La La Land as well as “Can’t Stop the Feeling!,” the summer smash co-written and performed by Justin Timberlake.
