Bob Dylan announces tour dates and “Fallen Angels” album release

Bob Dylan, who turns 75 in May, Minnesota’s most famous son, on Monday announced 27 tour dates to coincide with his new album, but Minnesota didn’t make the list. Dylan will play 15 shows in Japan before returning for the U.S. portion of his tour with R&B legend Mavis Staples. The tour kicks off June 4 and 5 with shows at the Chateau Ste. Michelle Winery in Woodinville, Wash. It’ll wrap up July 17 in Gilford, N.H.

Dylan’s 37th studio album, called “Fallen Angels,” is due out May 20 and is said to be similar to last year’s “Shadows in the Night,” that featured pop standards made famous by Frank Sinatra. According to his website, “For every pair of tickets purchased, you will receive a redemption code to receive a Compact Disk of Bob Dylan’s forthcoming album Fallen Angels (Not available for Indianapolis and Boston.)”
